My friend Krishna is planning to buy a new bike and the latest sensation is the TVS Flame (125CC bike). We went to the TVS showroom near sanitorium. He called them yesterday and they said that we can have a test ride to check how the bike is. So we went there to have a test ride. But after reaching there they said that we cant have a test ride because they didnt get some RTO permission blah blah. So we just saw the bike and its not that bad. The only thing which I didnt like in the bike is the side look. Its not that good if you have a look at it from the sides. But from the front and back its looking good.

I saw this in the papers and damn it is ugly. Good design overall but the indicators on the tank look horrible! Horrible! It just doesn’t belong there.
This is bike design. In India, designers use MS Paint.
“ugly”, “good design overall”. ??????
@ Marc
Well those kind of bikes will never survive the Indian roads dude!!! These kind of bikes are perfect for our roads.
That bike Marc linked to looks good, but it also looks a touch uncomfortable. I think the flame looks good.
Flame is better for our country roads Thats for sure!
@marc,
ill have one of those bikes if you buy me one.
. No doubt it looks good. But these bikes cost more than our cars!! (>5-6 lacs)
Vinod, I think the flame isnt released yet. Theres some IP (Intellectual Property) problem going on between TVS and Bajaj over the twin spark ignition and stuff)
Karthik, it won’t cost much to make Indian bikes look like race bikes, even if they don’t perform like one.
Yea, take some aprilla parts, put a TVS 50 engine and you have the bike of your dreams.
@ Karthik
Well you are right, but HC said that in chennai the bookings for the bike can proceed. So I think it will release in January as said. They’ll mostly solve it among themselves man! Thats business!!!
Hi Guys
I have booked TVS Flame Bike on January 4th 2008,in Bangalore and i hope i would get the bike within 04-02-08, i may notice delay about delivery of bike to customer as there is no response about when they are providing the Bike.Still they are extending the days and now they are not giving any guarantee about when they are providing the Bike.
So anyone who is planning to take a TVS Flame Bike first confirm whether they will give within 30 days, As even after 30 days completed still i have not got the Bike.So i am planning to take my money back(1000rs) from TVS Showroom which i paid them when i booked the Bike.
They are not providing Disc Brake Option also. They are not providing any proper reason about when i can get bike.
Can anyone state me the Test Ride Reviews of Tvs Flame Bike as i want to know about Bike Performance. Can anyone mail me to samdec830@gmail.com…
Reply or Post response as soon as possible.

@ Sameer
I have mailed you about the test ride. You can check it.
TVS Flame sucks in Style. i don’t like the HeadLamp they provided ( Delta Edge ). it looks so ugly.
@ Apache fan
I think it will not be noticed by many when you ride the bike.
Hi are yaar ye TVS aur bajaj ka drama solve hua ya nahi.aur bike market mai aayegi b ya nahi.
Well abhi tak toh market mai nahi aaya.
Hi Guys,
Bike is good. But if the handle is turned over left side and if we see from right side, all the inside wires are seen.
@ Venu
But I think that happens in many bikes. I think you can see like that in discover too.
Is Flame Available in Kerala now?
@ Krishnakumar
According to the latest news, I heard that they have launched a new TVS Flame changing the engine technology to make sure that it is not similar to the Bajaj technology. So the new TVS Flame will hit the market soon I guess.
hi, bought very recently the new tvs flame on 16th march, till now with the performance i am getting i am very happy. it is giving around 63 km/lit. after the first service, i am hoping that it will improve. looks wise the best i feel. i could see the attention it is getting on the road.
@ Upender
I saw the flame with ash color and it looked pretty good. I think if you ask them to tune your bike then it might give a better mileage and if you ride it at a speed of 40 to 50 then you will surely get the best out of the bike.
I am going to book TVS flame this weekend. Users - Please give me enough information about its performance on road - Pickup, mileage, Price, engine noise if any, riding comfort at average speed and overspeed, any noise and vibrations on riding? please answer me quickly…
The bike is good and you can go for it. I am sure that its performance will be good. I took the test drive and the noise is less and you will feel smooth while driving. Vibrations occur when you drive at top speed in almost every bike.
Thanks vinod… i bought it yesterday. i will share you my experience after few days…
No probs. Waiting for your review about the bike…
Yes vinod. its nice to use this bike. Riding comfort, Mileage(70),Smoother drive is positive and pick up is as same like 100cc bike, may be it will become good after service. On road i paid 49.5 in chennai. Fittings like Engine guard, Seat handle and luggage hook is not available so far.
@ Mohan
I too felt the smooth driving experience. The bike is good and it looks awesome in the silver color. But only problem is the look from the front. I saw that y’day and it was a bit strange looking. The fittings in the tank for the indicators was coming out so much that the look from the front was spoiled by that and if the indicators in the front get damaged it will be awful. But other than these the bike is perfect for our country road.
Hi guys !! Flame with disk brake is also out now ! Took a test ride in Bangalore yesterday.. Cool bike. The mileage indicator fascinates me.. I can adjust my riding habits to gain maximum mileage !!!! The looks are stunning… Is this not a premium bike at a lesser price
@Manju..
Can u pls tell me where did u test ride the bike with disc brakes(in Bangalore)? I am flummoxed at the bikes being released in Bangalore without discs!!!! Are they giving some waste spare bikes or smething?? I dont know……
hi today i going now perchage tvs flame….
please send me
hi . i already purchased this bike . in starting the mileage is 72 . after first service 75 . this bike is totally rocking .
hi guys,
i bought the bike on feb 17.the 1st 1000 kms i took care not 2 cross speed more than 50.there r no vibrations ut mileage is satisfactory.as ankit said im not gettin 70+ mil, just 58.got it tuned twice but in vain.its a double spark plug engine.if anyone is gettin more than 65+ mil,pls reply.all the 3 services r over.i bought it in bangalore.
Hi Guys,
What Neeraj has told is absloutely true.
I purchsed TVS FLAME in Jul 2008 & since then its been my worst exp.
It has starting problem.Battery is very bad.No mileage at all.
After each service from the TVS center the bike worsens .They dont tune the vehicle properly & the mileage drops down to 40-45.
The TVS guys promise you 60kmph.But its not at all true.
The technicians are not aware as how to handle this bike while servicing.
There is also problem with the gears.
The bike dont start in the morning hours. It needs at least 10kicks.Battery also dont work in the morning hours.
Choosing this Bike is the biggest mistake of all time.
@shantu
dont u have any self at your flame?
I m d owner of much awaited bike TVS Flame, firstly it was being launched with two spark plugs but due to Chennai high court’s decision it was banned. As it was a Bajaj’s technology and they won in high court. I think if it was with two spark plugs and it would have been a successful bike with good pick up and average too. Why you did’nt go to the Supreme Court so that you could make avaiable the bike as per announcement. For kind information of everyone i m satisfied with this bike as long as its looks, presentation and price is concern as it has all the features of a 150cc bike available in 125cc machine which costs for. The new launch Honda Stunner is costly comparitevly. Yeshwant Kaushik, 3570E, Sudama Nagar, Indore M.P.
